Our Curriculum
The Waldorf curriculum aims to inspire lifelong learning in all students and to enable them to fully develop their capabilities.
For the Waldorf student, music, dance and theater, writing, literature, legends and myths are not simply subjects to be read about and tested. They are to be experienced. Through these experiences, Waldorf students cultivate a lifelong love of learning as well as the intellectual, emotional, physical, and spiritual capacities to be individuals certain of their paths and of service to the world. Our School Offers:
- Two foreign languages in the grades
- Strong literature and arts curriculum that includes world literature, painting, and drawing

- Handwork classes focused on knitting, sewing, and crocheting
- Music instruction using instruments and voice
Our Programs and Classes
The Waldorf School of New Orleans provides education for children from nursery through 8th grade, including before- and afterschool care programs and a parent/child playgroup for ages 1 to 3.
Join Us for a Summer of Creativity
Registration is open for our 3-week summer camp session for ages 3 1/2 - 8 years old featuring small groups, experienced teachers, field trips, painting, cooking, sewing, woodworking, and more.

Waldorf Study Group
Join us for a study group for adults that will discuss lectures from Rudolf Steiner's Education as a Force for Social Change.
Groups meet once a month on Wednesdays at 7:30pm.
