Dear WSNO Community,

For Faculty and Staff at WSNO, summer is an opportunity to plan for the upcoming school year, which is going to be different. That's why we've come up with the comprehensive Distance Learning Handbook to help guide us no matter what comes. However, our top priority remains face-to-face learning, which is the optimal way to impart a Waldorf Education. Our new and flexible school calendar reflects that, with 5 extra weeks built in to account for possible shut downs. This new handbook is meant to work in tandem with our updated calendar so that we are able to pivot as needed while providing a seamless and authentic Waldorf experience for your child.

We are working behind the scenes to prepare for the new school year, just like we do every summer. Teachers are brushing up on their Waldorf training and preparing classrooms. Administration is strategizing to ensure best practices and a smooth transition into the 2020-21 school year as well as updating directories, lists, and handbooks, including our updated School Contacts list. This year, we also created new Health and Safety guidelines that ensure we are upholding best practices in protecting the well-being of our students, Faculty, and staff.

This coming school year may be different, but one thing remains the same, and that's our commitment to providing an excellent education to our students. Your investment in Waldorf School of New Orleans is something we do not take for granted. Thank you for entrusting your child's education to us.

In Partnership,

Joseph E. Peychaud Head of School
