WSNO Hosts a Ted [Braude] Talk

Updated: Mar 27, 2019

Waldorf School of New Orleans welcomes parenting expert Ted Braude for an open talk about family dynamics. While he’s here, he will also be working with our school to strategize against bullying behavior as well as offering private sessions to families.

Ted Braude, founder of The BoysWork Project, is an integral psychologist and a Licensed Master Social Worker.

In our continuing work to address and prevent bullying within our school, we are excited to announce that Ted Braude, M.A. L.L.P., L.M.S.W., parenting expert, author, and speaker, will be coming to Waldorf School of New Orleans in March 24 to 26.

Mr. Braude will be talking with students, grades 5-8, to speak about adolescence and social climate. He will address how students can be empowered to create a safe environment, giving them tools to build upon throughout the year.

He will also work with faculty to:

  • Explain where children are in their development.

  • Shed light on the impulses that spur bullying behavior.

  • Demystify the roles of bystander and victim.

  • Explore the mentality of a group setting that can lead to aggressive and defiant behaviors.

  • Create an understanding of how to work through those issues and how to address these behaviors and best support students.
